PRATAH- SAMARANA - STOTRAM   (A Morning Prayer) This is a prayer composed by Sri Adi Shankaracharya consisting of three stanzas in which the mind  (manas) speech  (vak) , and body  (kaya)  of the individual are sought to be dedicated to the supreme Spirit. The first thoughts, words and actions of everyday exert a great influence on the life of the individual. If they are consecrated and made divine, they will pave the way for spiritual illumination. The prayer at dawn is profoundly significant in that the dawn is the outer symbol of the inner awakening. In these stanzas, Shañkara sets forth also the quintessence of Advaita-Vedánta. The ultimate Reality is  Saccidánanda  (existence-consciousness-bliss). It is  turèya , that which is the reality of the three states of experience and is beyond them. GOVINDÁSHTAKAM- श्रीगोविन्दाष्टकं सत्यं ज्ञानमनन्तं नित्यमनाकाशं परमाकाशं  गोष्ठप्राङ्गणरिङ्खणलोलमनायासं परमायासम् ।  मायाकल्पितनानाकारमनाकारं भुवनाकारं  क्ष्माया नाथमनाथं प्रणमत गोविन्दं परमानन्दम् ॥ १॥ Worship Govinda who is supreme bliss, real, knowledge, infinite, and eternal, who is free from Ákásha (and other upádhis), who is the highest light, who was eager as a child to crawl in the cow-pen, who is really free from difficulties, but who appears to be in difficulties (or who is the abode of máyá, cause of all), who appears manifold due to máyá, who appears as the world, who is the Lord of the earth and shri, and who has no Lord to control him. श्रीसुब्रह्मण्यभुजङ्गम्  SRI SUBRAHMANYA-BHUJANGA-STOTRAM ( By Sri Adi Shankaracharya) सदा बालरूपाऽपि विघ्नाद्रिहन्त्री महादन्तिवक्त्राऽपि पञ्चास्यमान्या । विधीन्द्रादिमृग्या गणेशाभिधा मे विधत्तां श्रियं काऽपि कल्याणमूर्तिः ॥१॥ May Ganesha who, though always a child, can destroy the mountain of obstacles, who though having the face of an elephant is worshipped by lions (or by shiva with five faces), who is sought after by Brahamaa, Indra, and others, who is auspicious, and whose greatness is immeasurable, bless me with prosperity. (1) न जानामि शब्दं न जानामि चार्थं न जानामि पद्यं न जानामि गद्यम् । चिदेका षडास्या हृदि द्योतते मे मुखान्निःसरन्ते गिरश्चापि चित्रम् ॥२॥ Neither word nor its meaning do I know.
